About this role

Hermeus seeks a software engineering intern to develop command and control software for a high-speed unmanned aircraft platform. You'll work across C++ backend systems and web-based frontend interfaces, supporting both remote piloting and autonomous flight capabilities.

What you'll do

  • Develop control system software in C++ for the Quarterhorse aircraft platform
  • Build web-based user interfaces using TypeScript/JavaScript for flight command and monitoring
  • Implement features for remotely piloted (HOTAS) flight operations
  • Contribute to autonomous flight mode management and control logic
  • Design and iterate on intuitive UI/UX for mission-critical applications
  • Collaborate with hardware and avionics teams on system integration
