About this role
Highbeam is seeking experienced software engineers to build AI-powered business banking and cash management solutions. You'll own projects end-to-end, collaborating with product and design teams to deliver core features used by thousands of businesses, while leveraging a modern tech stack of Kotlin, TypeScript/React, and PostgreSQL on Google Cloud.
What you'll do
- Design, build, and iterate on core banking and cash management products
- Own projects end-to-end from scoping through shipping and refinement
- Design APIs and debug complex systems with strong testing practices
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineers, product, and design teams
- Make thoughtful tradeoffs between scope, functionality, and technical quality
- Use AI tools effectively while maintaining full accountability for code quality
What they're looking for
- 4+ years professional software engineering experience
- Backend development (Kotlin preferred)
- Frontend development (TypeScript/React)
- API design and system debugging
- Product sense and technical decision-making
- Cross-functional project leadership
- Fintech or AI domain knowledge (preferred)
- Basic financial concepts understanding
