About this role

Humanoid is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to design and build hardware-in-the-loop test infrastructure for validating safety-critical systems in their humanoid robots. You'll create test environments, automate validation, and collaborate with firmware and hardware teams to ensure system reliability before deployment.

What you'll do

  • Build and maintain HIL test environments for functional safety hardware and embedded components
  • Design test fixtures and bench environments that emulate complex robotic behaviors
  • Develop Python automation tools and embedded firmware for specialized test hardware
  • Execute black-box validation through fault injection and system resilience analysis
  • Investigate failures and optimize test coverage in partnership with firmware teams
  • Develop scalable infrastructure for automated, safety-critical validation processes
