Electrical Design Engineer – Level l or ll
About this role
IEM seeks an Electrical Design Engineer (Level I or II) to design low and medium voltage power systems and serve as the technical lead for assigned equipment. You'll create design packages, manage component selection, support manufacturing and testing, and collaborate across teams to deliver innovative electrical distribution solutions.
What you'll do
- Design low and medium voltage power systems and create bill of material and drawing packages for manufacturing
- Perform independent design, troubleshooting, and commissioning of IEM equipment
- Collaborate with mechanical designers on switchgear and switchboard layouts
- Write sequence of operation documents defining automatic system functionality
- Support production testing and field service teams in verifying system operation
- Provide technical expertise to customers, sales, and project management teams; conduct occasional field assignments (up to 15% of time)
