About this role

Kairos Power seeks an early- to mid-career Software Engineer to develop and maintain cyber-physical systems software for nuclear reactor operations, including SCADA platforms, data acquisition tools, and integrations between industrial control systems and applications.

What you'll do

  • Build and maintain software for test systems, SCADA workflows, and industrial plant data acquisition and analysis
  • Develop operator and engineering tools using Inductive Automation Ignition Perspective or similar HMI/SCADA platforms
  • Create PostgreSQL-backed applications with schemas, queries, and data quality improvements
  • Design APIs and integrations between software tools, databases, PLCs, and plant data systems
  • Support software interfaces with PLC-controlled systems using Rockwell Automation Studio 5000
  • Develop anomaly detection algorithms and tools to identify system trends and off-normal behavior
