About this role
Kalshi is seeking a backend engineer to build and maintain infrastructure for its affiliated trading operations on its prediction markets platform. You'll develop high-performance trading systems, order management, and event-driven APIs while helping shape the role and strategy as the company scales.
What you'll do
- Design and maintain backend infrastructure for trading operations across multiple market categories
- Build order management systems and robust event-driven APIs
- Develop concurrent, high-performance systems handling financial transactions
- Architect and optimize relational database solutions using Postgres
- Deploy and manage systems on AWS infrastructure (RDS, ECS)
- Shape the technical direction and scope of trading systems as the company grows
