About this role
Join Klaviyo's Mobile App Growth team as an Android/Kotlin specialist to design and maintain the Android SDK that powers personalized mobile app experiences for thousands of customers. You'll own Android development while contributing to cross-platform SDKs (iOS, React Native, Flutter) and backend services for in-app messaging, universal linking, geofencing, and emerging products like mobile inbox.
What you'll do
- Design, build, and ship features and fixes to the Android SDK used across diverse third-party apps and OS versions
- Diagnose and resolve SDK issues reported by customers, debugging across multiple devices and environments
- Contribute to other mobile SDKs (iOS, React Native, Expo, Flutter) and backend services supporting in-app messaging and geofencing
- Write well-tested code, participate in code and design reviews, and maintain production Android code
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to ensure consistent tracking and messaging behavior across platforms
- Create documentation, sample apps, and integration guides to help customers adopt the SDKs
What they're looking for
- Android development with Kotlin (1-3 years professional experience)
- Android lifecycle, threading, and Gradle
- Unit, integration, and instrumentation testing; CI/CD for mobile
- SDK/library development and cross-device debugging
- Webviews and location services
- Python, React, or AWS (as team needs evolve)
- iOS/Swift or backend services experience (bonus)
- Push notification and messaging systems (bonus)
