About this role

Kodiak Robotics seeks a Field Integration Engineer in Odessa, TX to lead failure analysis and hardware validation for autonomous trucking systems. You'll collaborate across electrical, mechanical, software, and firmware teams to investigate issues, validate fixes, and ensure quality standards while improving diagnostics and documentation.

What you'll do

  • Conduct root-cause analysis of system failures across multiple engineering disciplines
  • Validate corrective actions to prevent recurring failures
  • Inspect and test new hardware and returned units for quality assurance before shipment
  • Collect and communicate customer feedback to product teams for continuous improvement
  • Create and review technical documentation including drawings, schematics, and test procedures
  • Develop improved diagnostic tools to detect failure modes faster

  • Automotive electronics and communication protocols (Ethernet, CAN, LIN, 100BASE-T1)

  • CAD and hardware design tools
