About this role
Lambda is seeking a Data Center Facility Telemetry & Controls Engineer to design and manage Building Management Systems, DCIM platforms, and real-time monitoring infrastructure across growing data center portfolios supporting high-density GPU deployments. You'll oversee BMS integration, telemetry pipelines, liquid cooling controls, and operational reliability across colocation and company-owned facilities.
What you'll do
- Architect and integrate BMS systems across facilities, managing chillers, cooling units, UPS systems, and PDUs using protocols like BACnet and Modbus
- Own DCIM platform strategy, implementation, and real-time dashboards for power efficiency, thermal performance, and capacity planning
- Build telemetry pipelines ingesting data from BMS, PDUs, sensors, and network devices into centralized monitoring platforms
- Develop control strategies and setpoint frameworks for liquid cooling systems supporting 220–380 kW per-rack densities
- Establish facility event management processes, incident response protocols, and root cause analysis for system failures
- Manage vendor relationships with BMS integrators, DCIM vendors, and colocation partners on technical integration and commissioning
What they're looking for
- Building Management Systems (BMS) architecture and integration
- Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) platform experience
- Telemetry and monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, InfluxDB)
- Liquid cooling systems and thermal control knowledge
- Industrial protocols (BACnet, Modbus, SNMP, OPC-UA, RESTful APIs)
- Power and cooling infrastructure management
- Incident response and root cause analysis
- Vendor and stakeholder management
