About this role

Fully onsite backend engineering role supporting the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency in Chantilly, VA. You'll enhance mission-critical systems, troubleshoot complex backend issues, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain secure, scalable aeronautical navigation capabilities. Requires active Top Secret clearance and 6-8+ years of relevant experience.

What you'll do

  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex backend issues involving REST APIs, databases, and distributed applications
  • Develop and enhance backend functionality using Python, C#, or Java within GitLab repositories
  • Collaborate with Agile teams on sprint planning, standups, and testing using Jira and Confluence
  • Support incident response procedures and drive system improvements for operational stability
  • Integrate open-source and government-off-the-shelf solutions into enterprise systems
  • Apply cloud computing knowledge to modify APIs and backend systems for data visualization and filtering
