About this role

ABOUT THE COMPANY

This organization is not your typical financial institution. They're an independent trust company built on relationships, not transactions. Their mission is to help individuals and families preserve and grow their wealth with integrity, transparency, and a deeply personal touch. They serve clients across Southwest Florida and beyond, offering investment management, trust, and estate services with a boutique feel and institutional strength. Their team is close-knit, community-minded, and committed to doing right by their clients—and each other.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

The Senior Trust Officer is responsible for administering the firm’s most complex and high-value trust relationships. This senior leader exercises advanced fiduciary judgment, serves as a subject-matter authority within the Fiduciary Team, and ensures trust administration aligns with governing documents, regulatory requirements, and the client-first philosophy.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Administer complex and multi-generational trust relationships in accordance with fiduciary law and governing instruments

  • Serve as primary relationship lead for high-value trust clients and beneficiaries

  • Exercise fiduciary discretion regarding distributions, trust modifications, and complex administrative decisions

  • Provide senior-level guidance on fiduciary risk and compliance considerations

  • Partner closely with investment, legal, tax, and operations teams to deliver integrated service

  • Serve as escalation authority for high-risk or sensitive fiduciary matters

  • Contribute to refinement of fiduciary policies, standards, and best practices

  • Represent the firm in high-level client meetings and professional engagements

  • Perform other duties as assigned or as necessary to support the needs of the role

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Must-Haves:

  • 10+ years of experience in trust administration within a trust company or fiduciary-focused wealth management firm

  • Deep expertise in fiduciary law, trust structures, and regulatory requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex and high-value fiduciary relationships independently

  • Strong risk management mindset and sound fiduciary judgment

  • Executive-level communication skills and client presence

  • Unwavering commitment to fiduciary integrity and ethical standards

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, accounting, or related field

  • Juris Doctor (JD) or Master’s degree in business or related discipline

  • Professional fiduciary certification such as CTFA or similar designation

  • Experience participating in fiduciary or governance committees
