Electrical Engineer - ATE

About this role

Lunar Energy seeks an Electrical Engineer specializing in Automated Test Equipment (ATE) to design and validate power electronics systems for clean energy storage and conversion products. You'll own electrical design from concept through manufacturing, collaborating across mechanical, thermal, and firmware teams to deliver innovative home energy solutions.

What you'll do

• Design tester interface boards for IoT devices, DC/DC converters, inverters, and power electronic systems
• Conduct system bring-up, testing, and validation to optimize performance and assess critical characteristics
• Develop and support custom test cards, fixtures, and validation mechanisms for PCBAs and complete systems
• Perform component-level debugging and troubleshooting of power electronics
• Manage electrical design lifecycle from prototype through production release
• Collaborate with mechanical engineering on test fixtures and bed-of-nails apparatus

What they're looking for

• Power electronics design (3+ years experience)
• Battery management systems, inverters, and charging systems
• Altium Designer schematic capture and PCB layout
• Lab instrumentation (oscilloscopes, impedance analyzers, sources, loads)
• High voltage/current analog circuit design and mixed-signal design
• Microcontroller programming and embedded control
• Prototyping and rework (soldering, paste application, flux cleaning)
• Noise analysis and grounding techniques
