About this role
Lyft seeks a Machine Learning Engineer to join the Fulfillment team, designing and deploying ML systems that power real-time ride-matching and inventory decisions. You'll translate cutting-edge research into production solutions while collaborating across product, data science, and engineering to optimize the marketplace at billion-ride scale.
What you'll do
- Design, build, and deploy machine learning models for real-time ride fulfillment applications
- Develop feature pipelines, model training workflows, and serving infrastructure on Lyft's ML platform
- Evaluate model performance against business KPIs and run experiments to drive continuous improvement
- Collaborate with ML engineers, product managers, data scientists, and software engineers on cross-functional initiatives
- Write production-quality code and participate in code reviews to ensure standards and knowledge sharing
- Translate state-of-the-art ML research into scalable, production-ready systems
