Flight Software Engineer

About this role

Mach Industries is looking for a Flight Software Engineer to develop embedded, safety-critical software for aerospace and defense systems. The ideal candidate will have strong skills in C and C++, with experience in real-time systems, and will collaborate with various engineering teams to enhance the functionality of autonomous platforms.

What you'll do

• Design and implement real-time, safety-critical flight software in C, C++, and Rust
• Engineer efficient embedded software focusing on resource constraints
• Collaborate with hardware and systems engineers on software integration
• Develop and execute rigorous testing methodologies for flight software
• Contribute to the full software development lifecycle of flight-critical software

• Proficiency in C and C++
• Experience with embedded systems
• Understanding of flight software principles
• Familiarity with MATLAB and Simulink
• Knowledge of aerospace hardware interfaces and protocols
• Experience with real-time operating environments
• Strong problem-solving abilities
• Knowledge of GNC systems is a plus
