GNC Engineer (Controls)

Mach Industries is seeking a GNC Engineer to design and evaluate control systems for fixed-wing aircraft. The role involves creating control laws, participating in flight testing, and ensuring robust performance throughout the aircraft's operational envelope.

What you'll do

• Design control systems for fixed-wing vehicles
• Implement control laws considering actuator limits and sensor noise
• Develop aerodynamic models using flight-test data
• Conduct verification and validation testing
• Assist in flight-test planning and analysis
• Collaborate with the controls team through design and code reviews

What they're looking for

• Degree in Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics
• 0-5 years experience in flight control systems
• Knowledge of flight dynamics and stability
• Proficiency in modern C++, MATLAB, Simulink, and Python
• Familiarity with SIL/HIL verification workflows
• Experience with software workflows and telemetry analysis
• Practical experience with control design techniques
• Understanding of resource-constrained processor optimization
