Mach Industries is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support the design and prototyping of advanced defense systems in Huntington Beach, CA. In this role, you will work on various mechanical components from initial concepts through to production, collaborating with a diverse team to enhance national security technologies.
What you'll do
- Develop subsystem-level hardware designs from CAD concepts to prototypes
- Integrate mechanical systems with sensors and control hardware
- Conduct hands-on testing and iteration based on performance feedback
- Ensure manufacturability and select appropriate parts for production
- Contribute to technical documentation and engineering reviews
- Perform modeling and simulations to guide design decisions

- 1+ years in mechanical engineering or related field
- Proficiency in 3D modeling and CAD tools like NX or SolidWorks
- Strong hands-on experience in hardware development projects
- Analytical skills for modeling and simulations
- Knowledge of mechanical fundamentals like thermal and structural design
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Python or MATLAB
- Experience with FEA or multi-physics software (preferred)
- Understanding of lightweight materials and manufacturing techniques (preferred)
