Software Engineer, Localization

Mach Industries is seeking a Software Engineer specializing in Localization to develop advanced navigation and sensor-fusion algorithms for defense technology. The ideal candidate will contribute to real-world applications of AI-driven solutions in challenging environments.

What you'll do

• Design and implement navigation features using production C++.
• Create measurement models from various sensor detections.
• Stabilize GNSS to VIO handover processes.
• Optimize real-time software performance on embedded systems.
• Oversee sensor calibration and time synchronization.
• Develop evaluation pipelines for performance metrics.

What they're looking for

• Proficiency in modern C++ and Python
• Experience with SLAM and state estimation techniques
• Knowledge of vision-based systems (VIO/SLAM)
• Sensor integration skills (IMU, GNSS, LiDAR)
• Research-to-production delivery experience
• Strong debugging and profiling skills
• Familiarity with CUDA/TensorRT (preferred)
• Exposure to ROS 2 and embedded systems
