Mariana Minerals is seeking a Drill and Blast Engineer to lead the design and execution of drilling and blasting operations at their copper site in La Sal, UT. This role involves optimizing blasting performance while ensuring safety and compliance with regulatory standards.

What you'll do

• Develop and optimize blast designs and patterns
• Manage drilling programs and schedules
• Ensure adherence to safety and compliance standards
• Oversee blast performance metrics and KPI reconciliation
• Collaborate with blasting crews for accurate execution
• Implement innovative technologies to improve efficiency

What they're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or related field
• 5+ years of drilling and blasting engineering experience
• Proficiency in blast design software
• Understanding of MSHA and ATF regulations
• Experience with ANFO and emulsion delivery systems
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively
