About this role

MatX is looking for a Hardware System Diagnostic Engineer to develop and manage diagnostic testing for their AI data center products. This position involves collaborating with manufacturing partners to ensure product quality and testing efficacy throughout the manufacturing and deployment processes.

What you'll do

  • Own the diagnostic test suite for accelerator boards and racks
  • Develop diagnostic tools for AI chips, PCIe, HBM, power, and thermal systems
  • Define test coverage and pass/fail criteria for manufacturing
  • Support JDM/ODM partners with documentation and debug assistance
  • Triage manufacturing test escapes and field failures
  • Maintain CI/CD infrastructure for diagnostics software

What they're looking for

  • 7+ years in systems diagnostics or hardware validation
  • Expert in Python and C/C++
  • Deep knowledge of PCIe and memory hierarchies
  • Experience with test relationships in ODM/JDM
  • Skilled in building test automation frameworks
  • Proficient with Linux system tools
  • Strong communicator
  • Self-directed in startup environments
