About this role
Mitratech seeks an AI Engineer II to build and operate intelligent agent systems on an AWS-native GenAI platform. You'll implement AI-enabled features and agent workflows, own small services end-to-end, and develop expertise in agent tooling like MCP and LangGraph while mentoring junior engineers.
What you'll do
- Implement AI-enabled features and RAG/agent workflows with guidance on complex designs
- Design, build, test, and deploy small services and maintain their CI/CD pipelines
- Participate in on-call support for owned components and troubleshoot production issues
- Contribute to design reviews and suggest process improvements
- Mentor AI Engineer I teammates on technical skills and best practices
- Collaborate with product, data, and platform teams to deliver scoped solutions
What they're looking for
- Python with async patterns, FastAPI, Pydantic v2, pytest
- AWS services (Bedrock, Lambda, ECS, API Gateway)
- LLM integration and production RAG/agent development
- Production databases (Redis, DynamoDB, Postgres/Aurora) with async SQLAlchemy
- Docker, ECS, and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions)
- JWT/OAuth and secrets management
- Agent frameworks (LangChain/LangGraph, MCP)
- Ability to thrive in ambiguous, fast-moving environments
