Embedded Software Engineer

About this role

MORSE Corp is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to develop software for Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) R&D programs. The position involves integrating novel algorithms into flight software and supporting testing efforts to enhance autonomous capabilities for aircraft.

What you'll do

• Develop embedded software for UAV systems
• Integrate new software functionalities into existing flight systems
• Update simulation software for algorithm evaluation
• Support UAS flight tests and operations
• Collaborate with technology experts for system integration
• Communicate project statuses and results effectively

What they're looking for

• Proficiency in C/C++, Python, and Rust
• Experience with PX4 or Ardupilot
• Familiarity with embedded communication protocols
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills
• Experience in control hardware setup
• Background in embedded software development
• Ability to manage multidisciplinary projects
• Willingness to travel for field tests
