About this role
MORSE Corp seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to establish and scale in-house production capabilities in Cambridge, MA. You'll translate R&D prototypes into manufacturable designs, lead production line setup for novel technologies, and collaborate with engineering teams to optimize processes from concept through high-volume deployment.
What you'll do
- Scale prototypes from R&D to higher-volume, fieldable manufacturing
- Partner with design engineers on Design for Manufacturing (DfM) and Design for Assembly (DfA) considerations
- Develop, document, and improve manufacturing processes including work instructions, SOPs, and QC procedures
- Implement manufacturing processes including PFMEA, equipment selection, layout planning, and qualification
- Source, qualify, and collaborate with equipment vendors and contract manufacturing partners
- Conduct root cause analysis, process improvement initiatives, and acceptance testing to ensure quality and yield
What they're looking for
- US citizenship and ability to obtain security clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or related Engineering
- SolidWorks and 3DEXPERIENCE (3DX) CAD proficiency
- Knowledge of sheet metal, CNC machining, welding, injection molding processes
- GD&T (ASME Y14.5) and tolerance stack-up analysis
- LEAN manufacturing and Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
- Quality management systems (ISO 9001, PPAP, ECN/ECO, PFMEA)
- ERP/MRP systems and Bill of Materials management
