About this role

MORSE Corp seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to establish and scale in-house production capabilities in Cambridge, MA. You'll translate R&D prototypes into manufacturable designs, lead production line setup for novel technologies, and collaborate with engineering teams to optimize processes from concept through high-volume deployment.

What you'll do

  • Scale prototypes from R&D to higher-volume, fieldable manufacturing
  • Partner with design engineers on Design for Manufacturing (DfM) and Design for Assembly (DfA) considerations
  • Develop, document, and improve manufacturing processes including work instructions, SOPs, and QC procedures
  • Implement manufacturing processes including PFMEA, equipment selection, layout planning, and qualification
  • Source, qualify, and collaborate with equipment vendors and contract manufacturing partners
  • Conduct root cause analysis, process improvement initiatives, and acceptance testing to ensure quality and yield

What they're looking for

  • US citizenship and ability to obtain security clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or related Engineering
  • SolidWorks and 3DEXPERIENCE (3DX) CAD proficiency
  • Knowledge of sheet metal, CNC machining, welding, injection molding processes
  • GD&T (ASME Y14.5) and tolerance stack-up analysis
  • LEAN manufacturing and Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
  • Quality management systems (ISO 9001, PPAP, ECN/ECO, PFMEA)
  • ERP/MRP systems and Bill of Materials management
