About this role
Neros seeks a Manufacturing Design Engineer to drive complex hardware products from design through high-volume production for advanced unmanned systems. You'll optimize manufacturing processes, tooling, and assembly while collaborating across engineering and operations to deliver defense technology at scale.
What you'll do
- Develop and scale manufacturing processes for electro-mechanical products, leading DFM/DFA efforts to improve manufacturability and cost
- Design and deploy tooling, fixtures, and assembly equipment while driving automation solutions for production environments
- Lead manufacturing readiness activities through DVT, PVT, and production ramp, including validation and process qualification
- Analyze manufacturing data using SPC, DOE, and tolerance analysis to drive yield, quality, and throughput improvements
- Collaborate with Product Design, Test, Quality, Supply Chain, and Operations on cross-functional product launches
- Influence product design requirements through manufacturability expertise and GD&T, tolerance stack-up analysis

- Cross-functional team leadership and communication
- Data analysis for yield and OEE optimization
