Neuralink seeks an EMC Compliance Engineer to lead electromagnetic compatibility strategy and testing for brain-computer interface devices, surgical robotics, and wireless charging systems. This role combines hands-on bench debugging with regulatory coordination to ensure medical device compliance throughout the product lifecycle.

What you'll do

  • Own end-to-end EMC compliance strategy, testing (emissions, immunity, ESD, EFT, surge), and debugging for implantable electronics, surgical robotics, and external systems
  • Collaborate with hardware, firmware, mechanical, and manufacturing teams to identify EMC risks early and drive design mitigations like grounding, shielding, and PCB layout optimization
  • Develop internal EMC test capabilities including setups, fixtures, and measurement methods to reduce reliance on external labs
  • Execute EMC impact assessments for design changes and maintain compliance documentation per IEC 60601-1-2 and FCC Part 18 standards
  • Debug EMC failures using oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, near-field probes, and custom fixtures; perform root cause analysis
  • Partner with external NRTL labs and regulatory bodies; contribute EMC data to FDA submissions and regulatory interactions
