Software Engineer, ASIC

About this role

Neuralink is seeking a Software Engineer for ASIC development to enhance the infrastructure supporting brain-computer interface technologies. The role involves creating scalable systems for chip design and optimizing tools that facilitate neural data management.

What you'll do

• Build and maintain EDA compute infrastructure for chip design
• Develop simulation clusters for circuit verification
• Manage and optimize EDA vendor license infrastructure
• Architect storage solutions for design data
• Develop firmware build-system infrastructure for ASICs
• Automate server provisioning and lifecycle management

What they're looking for

• Experience with EDA tools (Cadence, Synopsys)
• Knowledge of license server administration (FlexLM)
• Familiarity with Rust, Go, or C/C++
• Experience with high-performance Linux storage
• Systems administration on RHEL and Ubuntu
• Understanding of distributed compute frameworks
• Experience with bare-metal provisioning
• Familiarity with cloud deployments
