About this role
Northwood seeks an RF Regulatory Engineer to manage technical compliance and market access for satellite ground station systems globally. You'll perform RF analyses, develop regulatory strategies, and coordinate with U.S. and international regulators to enable deployment of advanced communications infrastructure.
What you'll do
- Conduct RF interference, spectrum sharing, and satellite coordination analyses
- Develop simulations incorporating regulatory constraints, link budgets, and network growth scenarios
- Translate technical findings into regulatory recommendations supporting business development
- Engage with FCC, DoD, NASA, NOAA and other regulators on licenses and compliance
- Draft and submit licensing, coordination, and permitting materials to regulatory bodies
- Serve as technical integrator across engineering, legal, and government affairs teams
