Oklo is looking for a Human Factors Engineer to establish the safety basis for a novel used nuclear fuel recycling facility. The role emphasizes the application of human factors engineering to enhance personnel activities, minimize errors, and ensure effective human-system interactions.
What you'll do
- Develop HFE strategy and safety documentation
- Tailor NRC HFE guidance for facility-specific applications
- Evaluate safety-related personnel activity implementations
- Lead various analyses including task and staffing evaluations
- Translate analysis results into system requirements
- Plan and execute HFE verification and validation activities

- Bachelor's degree in relevant engineering disciplines
- 5+ years of relevant experience
- Technical writing proficiency
- Familiarity with NRC/DOE HFE expectations
- Experience with human factors analyses
- Knowledge of NUREG documents
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication abilities
