Manufacturing Engineer
About this role
OBE seeks a Manufacturing Engineer in Denver to lead operational excellence initiatives at a glass and building products manufacturing facility. You'll drive process optimization, equipment reliability, and capital asset management using lean manufacturing principles and industry best practices.
What you'll do
- Develop and maintain process documentation including PFMEAs, control plans, and work instructions aligned with Toyota Production System
- Conduct time studies, line balancing, and plant layout optimization to improve material flow and production efficiency
- Track asset downtime, perform root cause analysis, and implement countermeasures to improve OEE and reliability KPIs
- Manage capital projects from AFE generation through equipment qualification (SAT/FAT) and asset release
- Lead preventive maintenance standardization, autonomous maintenance strategies, and critical spare parts programs
- Support new product launches and operational improvement initiatives across safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost

- Toyota Production System (TPS) and lean manufacturing methodology
- Root cause analysis (RCA) and PFMEA development
- MS Project, MS Office, and Windows proficiency
- AutoCAD (preferred)
- Equipment setup, troubleshooting, and machinery operation
- Preventive maintenance and reliability engineering
- Capital project management and AFE process
- Bilingual English/Spanish (preferred)
