About this role

Entry-level water resources engineering role supporting hydrologic and hydraulic analyses for Class I Railroad projects. You'll assist with design, modeling, permitting, and technical documentation while developing expertise in water resources engineering under the mentorship of experienced engineers.

What you'll do

  • Support hydrologic and hydraulic analyses and design tasks for railroad water resources projects
  • Assist with plan production, technical documentation, and permit applications
  • Develop proficiency in design and modeling software (AutoCAD, MicroStation, GIS, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS)
  • Conduct project documentation, data collection, and basic engineering calculations
  • Participate in field investigations, site visits, and data collection activities
  • Research and prepare technical reports while learning project management processes
