Project Electrical Engineer-Federal Engineering & Design

Olsson is searching for a Project Electrical Engineer to join their Federal Engineering & Design Team. This remote position focuses on delivering electrical designs that meet federal standards while allowing for collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and mentorship of junior staff.

What you'll do

• Design electrical systems for federal projects, including power distribution and lighting.
• Prepare electrical calculations, drawings, and technical reports according to federal codes.
• Serve as a liaison between clients and internal teams to resolve technical issues.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality project outcomes.
• Support project planning and monitor progress with project managers.
• Participate in site inspections and provide technical support during installations.

What they're looking for

• Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical Engineering
• Professional Engineer (PE) license
• Experience in electrical design for federal clients
• Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD
• Knowledge of DoD and VA design standards
• Strong problem-solving abilities
• Effective communication and collaboration skills
• Understanding of electrical codes and regulations
