Transportation Engineer - Traffic Technology

Olsson is seeking a Transportation Engineer for their Traffic Technology team in Des Moines, IA. The ideal candidate will conduct traffic studies, design traffic solutions, and utilize CAD software to enhance roadway safety and efficiency.

What you'll do

• Create design plans using CAD software
• Conduct traffic studies for public and private clients
• Design traffic signals, roundabouts, and pavement markings
• Analyze traffic patterns to optimize roadway designs
• Assist in the evaluation of transportation systems
• Manage congestion and enhance road safety

What they're looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
• Strong communication skills
• Team collaboration
• Experience with AutoCAD
• Traffic analysis skills
• Engineer Intern (EI) certificate
• Data analysis in Excel
• Synchro and OSP Fiber experience (preferred)
