Software Engineer, Monetization Delivery

About this role

OpenAI seeks an experienced Software Engineer to architect and build foundational infrastructure for its monetization and ads systems. You'll design large-scale distributed systems handling reliability, privacy, and performance at global scale while collaborating with product, design, and research teams in a greenfield 0→1 environment.

What you'll do

• Design and build backend infrastructure powering monetization and ads systems
• Architect large-scale distributed systems meeting strict reliability, privacy, and performance requirements
• Develop APIs, services, and platforms for ads creation, delivery, measurement, and optimization
• Translate cross-functional requirements into scalable technical solutions through rapid prototyping
• Drive technical strategy and long-term roadmap for monetization infrastructure
• Ensure safety, privacy, and fairness principles are embedded in system design
