About this role
OpenAI seeks a Wireless Regulatory Engineer to ensure RF exposure compliance for consumer hardware products. You'll develop SAR testing strategies, partner with cross-functional engineering teams, and guide products from prototype through certification while balancing regulatory requirements with performance.
What you'll do
- Develop and execute RF exposure test and validation strategies for consumer wireless products
- Evaluate product designs with engineering teams to identify compliance risks throughout development
- Perform RF exposure measurements, analyze data, and communicate findings to stakeholders
- Coordinate external laboratory testing and review certification documentation
- Develop tools and workflows to improve testing efficiency and data analysis
- Support global regulatory certification activities for wireless consumer products
