About this role

Orion Innovation seeks a Senior Database Developer to design, develop, and optimize Azure SQL and SQL Server databases for cloud-native enterprise applications. You'll own database architecture, performance tuning, and CI/CD-driven deployments while collaborating with full-stack and DevOps teams.

What you'll do

  • Design and maintain Azure SQL/SQL Server databases for enterprise applications
  • Develop and optimize T-SQL code including stored procedures, functions, views, and indexes
  • Manage database deployments via PowerShell automation and Azure DevOps/GitHub pipelines
  • Ensure performance, scalability, availability, and data integrity across environments
  • Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis and performance tuning
  • Enforce database security, access controls, and enforce best practices
