About this role
Path Robotics seeks a Software Engineer to develop real-time, high-performance C++ systems for AI-driven robotic platforms in manufacturing. You'll work with ROS/ROS2, perception pipelines, and motion control to build production-ready robotics solutions that integrate computer vision, planning, and execution across distributed systems.
What you'll do
- Design modular, concurrent, and distributed systems for perception, planning, and execution with strong multithreading and synchronization
- Develop robotic welding features with automated testing, optimized for real-time and deterministic behavior
- Integrate computer vision, motion planning, and control systems with industrial robots
- Debug complex issues across real-time motion control, perception pipelines, and multi-package ROS integration
- Conduct code reviews and write comprehensive unit and integration tests
- Collaborate with team members to solve challenging robotics and AI problems
What they're looking for
- C++ for high-performance real-time systems
- ROS and ROS2 (publishers/subscribers, services, node lifecycle)
- CMake, catkin, and colcon build systems
- Multithreading and concurrency for deterministic systems
- Git, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions)
- Computer vision and sensor integration
- Motion planning and control systems
- Kubernetes and Terraform (AWS)
Benefits
- Daily free lunch
- Flexible PTO
