Software Engineer, Frontend / Full Stack (Identity Platform)

Phantom is seeking a Software Engineer specializing in Frontend and Full Stack development for their Identity Platform, which is critical for user authentication and transaction signing. The role involves shipping TypeScript code across multiple environments while ensuring security and reliability in user interactions.

What you'll do

• Develop and improve the transaction signing process.
• Build secure authentication and account access systems for web and mobile.
• Implement passkeys and MFA features balancing security and usability.
• Manage onboarding and key lifecycle processes.
• Ensure safe handling of sensitive key export/import operations.
• Create and maintain robust testing for critical application paths.

What they're looking for

• 7+ years of software engineering experience
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript
• Experience with browser and Node.js environments
• Ability to build reliable test suites
• Familiarity with authentication concepts
• Strong system design and debugging skills
• Knowledge of OAuth2/OIDC (nice-to-have)
• Interest in Rust (nice-to-have)
