About this role

Picogrid seeks an Electrical Engineer to design and deploy mission-critical PCBAs for defense autonomous systems, owning the full lifecycle from prototyping through field deployment in harsh environments. You'll work across embedded systems, mechanical integration, and high-reliability design with direct impact on operational systems.

What you'll do

  • Design and release custom PCBAs into production for defense applications
  • Own full design lifecycle from rapid prototyping through production and field deployment
  • Collaborate with software, mechanical, and deployment teams to ensure reliability in harsh environments
  • Conduct circuit design, schematic capture, and PCB layout for high-reliability systems
  • Perform testing and validation using bench instrumentation and simulation tools
  • Support end-to-end system deployment including field operations

  • High-speed digital design and signal integrity
  • Power electronics design
  • Circuit simulation (LTSpice)
  • Test equipment proficiency (oscilloscopes, DMM, power supplies)
  • PCIE, USB-C 3.2, Ethernet, and POE expertise
  • Datasheet interpretation and technical drawing analysis
  • Embedded systems fundamentals (STM32, FreeRTOS, C/C++)
