Pinwheel is seeking a mid-level Backend Engineer for their Integrations Platform, where you'll lead various projects that support over 1800 integrations. This role involves enhancing performance, ensuring reliability, and leveraging AI in development while working in a hybrid environment in NYC.

What you'll do

• Manage platform projects from design to operation
• Improve shared infrastructure reliability and performance
• Enhance tools and libraries for Integration Engineers
• Participate in on-call rotation and incident management
• Maintain code security and dependency hygiene
• Integrate AI workflows in engineering processes

What they're looking for

• 3-5 years of backend integration experience
• Strong Python programming skills
• Production operations experience
• AWS knowledge including S3 and DynamoDB
• Solid systems-design fundamentals
• Experience with concurrency and async patterns
• Knowledge of AI-assisted development tools
• Familiarity with browser automation tools
