About this role

PostHog seeks a Site Reliability Engineer to own and stabilize production systems, focusing on stateful infrastructure, AWS automation, and reliability across their rapidly growing product analytics platform. You'll work autonomously in a remote, async-first environment where engineers have deep ownership and influence over system architecture and operational excellence.

What you'll do

  • Design, deploy, and maintain reliable stateful infrastructure on AWS
  • Build automation and tooling to improve system reliability and reduce manual toil
  • Proactively identify and resolve production issues before they impact customers
  • Collaborate with product teams to ensure scalability and performance of core systems
  • Document operational procedures and create runbooks for common scenarios
  • Drive infrastructure improvements and advocate for reliability best practices
