About this role
Join Rivian and Volkswagen Group Technologies as a Connected Systems software engineering intern (January–August 2027) working on cloud connectivity, vehicle-to-cloud infrastructure, and backend services. You'll contribute to distributed systems, IoT integration, and end-to-end feature validation for next-generation electric vehicles across multiple team specializations.
What you'll do
- Design, develop, and test software components within distributed or connectivity systems
- Write clean, maintainable code in Python, Go, C++, or Java
- Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and debugging with your team
- Contribute to test automation and validation for integration or connectivity features
- Document work and present progress to the team throughout the internship
