Ground Systems Engineer II, Automation Controls

Rocket Lab is seeking a Ground Systems Engineer II in Automation Controls at their Stennis Space Center location. The role involves supporting Neutron engine test campaigns by managing ground support software systems, collaborating with various teams, and troubleshooting software issues.

What you'll do

• Troubleshoot software issues at the test site
• Collaborate to deploy and commission test site software systems
• Produce documentation for test pad systems certification
• Develop and execute test plans for software and engine assessments
• Conduct post-test data analysis and reporting
• Serve as the point of contact for software-related requests

What they're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in relevant field
• 2+ years in rocket engine test or launch complex design
• Hands-on experience with data processing systems
• Proficiency in Git and issue tracking
• Experience with programming languages like C++ and Python
• Familiarity with PLC programming
• Working knowledge of Linux command line
• Understanding of Kubernetes and Docker
