About this role

Rocket Lab seeks an IT Network Engineer II to support their Wallops Island launch facility with advanced network infrastructure expertise and day-to-day technical support. You'll troubleshoot complex issues, implement infrastructure standards, and participate in 24/7 mission operations while collaborating across engineering teams.

What you'll do

  • Resolve complex network infrastructure and systems issues through advanced troubleshooting and analysis
  • Provide technical expertise to optimize performance and availability of critical IT systems
  • Drive infrastructure upgrades and maintenance with focus on reliability and security
  • Implement IT standards for Launch environments ensuring compliance and high availability
  • Participate in on-call rotation supporting 24/7/365 Launch Mission Operations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deploy optimized infrastructure solutions
