Rocket Lab is seeking a Spacecraft Structural Analysis Engineer I/II to support the design and analysis of aerospace structures. This role involves performing simulations, guiding design improvements, and validating system performance through testing from their headquarters in Long Beach, CA.
What you'll do
- Define and process static and dynamic test data
- Perform and document structural analyses of vehicle structures
- Conduct structural and dynamic simulations
- Collaborate with design and test engineers on test requirements
- Support testing of vehicle subsystems and components
- Lead technical projects across disciplines
What they're looking for
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or similar
- Eligible for security clearance
- Structural analysis experience in aerospace
- Familiarity with NX Nastran and NX CAD
- Competence in Teamcenter software
- Ability to perform material selection and trade-off studies
- Experience with finite element model verification
- Knowledge in mass optimization techniques
