Software Engineer - New Grad
About this role
Scale is hiring a New Grad Software Engineer to work on AI infrastructure and data systems that power enterprise and government AI applications. You'll own customer-facing projects from day one, shipping products like data pipelines, evaluation systems, and agentic AI tools while collaborating directly with customers.
What you'll do
- Build and maintain reinforcement learning and data pipelines for frontier model development
- Develop evaluation infrastructure to measure model reliability for enterprise customers
- Ship agentic AI applications with observable, testable, and safe deployment tooling
- Design fraud-detection systems and quality estimation algorithms at scale
- Create UI/UX tooling and ML-powered matching algorithms for 100k+ contributors
- Collaborate directly with customers to understand requirements and iterate on products
