Software Engineering Intern (Summer 2027)
About this role
Scale is hiring software engineering interns for Summer 2027 to own real, shipped projects on AI data infrastructure and tooling. You'll work alongside full-time engineers on reinforcement learning pipelines, evaluation systems, agentic AI applications, and platforms serving 100k+ contributors.
What you'll do
- Build and ship real features on production systems that power frontier AI model development
- Develop evaluation and quality infrastructure for enterprise and government AI applications
- Create UI/UX tooling and matching algorithms for Scale's contributor platform
- Contribute to fraud detection and data quality systems at scale
- Design and implement reinforcement learning data pipelines
- Build infrastructure for observability, testing, and safe deployment of agentic systems
