Robotics Application Engineer

About this role

An embodied AI company in Boston seeks a Robotics Application Engineer to design, customize, and deploy advanced robotic systems for industrial clients. You'll bridge development and end-users, optimizing solutions for complex tasks like bin-picking while providing field support and technical expertise.

What you'll do

• Debug and resolve application-level issues across hardware and software components
• Adapt robotic systems for client-specific use cases including path planning, perception, and object manipulation
• Design task-specific workflows, configurations, and behaviors for robotic deployment
• Conduct onsite testing and validation to ensure system reliability in real-world environments
• Provide technical training and support to clients and system operators
• Document workflows and create user guides for system operations

• Python and C++ programming for task-level software development
• ROS 2 framework and simulation tools (Gazebo, RViz)
• Experience with robotic arms, grippers, and vision systems
• Motion planning, perception systems, and kinematics knowledge
• Docker containerization and deployment

• Client collaboration and requirements gathering
• 3+ years robotics application development or integration experience
