About this role
Serve Robotics seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer to design, validate, and debug electrical systems for autonomous sidewalk delivery robots operating across major US cities. You'll develop PCBs and circuits, perform hardware bring-up and testing, and collaborate cross-functionally to bring innovative robotic solutions from prototype to commercial scale.
What you'll do
- Design and validate electrical circuits, PCBs, and interconnect systems for autonomous robotic platforms
- Develop schematics and component selections meeting performance, reliability, and cost requirements
- Perform hardware bring-up, validation, and characterization in partnership with firmware and software teams
- Troubleshoot electrical and system-level issues through structured root cause analysis
- Develop and execute test plans to verify electrical subsystem performance and reliability
- Support PCB layout reviews and collaborate with manufacturing teams on design improvements
What they're looking for
- PCB design and schematic development
- Embedded systems debugging and integration
- Lab equipment operation (oscilloscope, function generator, spectrum analyzer, electronic load)
- ECAD tools (Altium preferred)
- Hardware prototype bring-up and failure analysis
- Common interface debugging (CAN, SPI, UART, I2C, USB)
