About this role

Serve Robotics seeks a Full-Stack Software Engineer to build and maintain internal deployment tooling that enables safe, rapid robot software releases at fleet scale. You'll own the entire software lifecycle—from frontend and backend services to cloud infrastructure—while strengthening CI/CD pipelines, observability, and release governance for engineering and operations teams.

What you'll do

  • Build and maintain internal web services and UIs supporting software release workflows for engineering, QA, and operations teams
  • Develop frontend, backend, and cloud infrastructure components for deployment tooling
  • Enhance observability with real-time status, logs, timelines, and audit trails to improve rollout visibility and debugging
  • Strengthen CI/CD automation, testing, and safety checks to reduce deployment risk
  • Implement deployment governance features including audit trails, role-based access, and privileged action tracking
  • Support production rollouts and participate in oncall rotation for internal services

  • Backend development with Node.js or TypeScript
  • Frontend development with TypeScript and modern frameworks (Vue preferred, React acceptable)
  • Cloud platforms, particularly GCP
  • CI/CD pipeline design and GitHub Actions
  • Kubernetes, Terraform, or infrastructure-as-code tools
  • Production system design with emphasis on reliability and maintainability
  • Testing and observability (structured logging, metrics, tracing)
  • End-to-end problem ownership and cross-functional collaboration
