Electrical and Controls Engineer

Sila, a battery materials innovator, seeks an experienced Electrical and Controls Engineer to enhance and maintain electrical systems within their manufacturing facility. The role involves collaboration across teams to optimize power distribution, machine control, and safety protocols in production environments.

What you'll do

• Design and improve electrical power and communication systems
• Serve as the primary electrical engineering resource for the facility
• Maintain and deploy machine control code and instrumentation
• Contribute to and enhance software libraries
• Gather user feedback and implement actionable modifications

What they're looking for

• 5-7 years related experience
• Experience with field-interactive code deployment
• Proficient in Structured Text and IEC 61131-3 languages
• Understanding of field-deployed electronics and sensors
• Knowledge of industrial Fieldbus communication protocols
• Familiarity with industrial electrical design
• Understanding of hazardous area requirements
• Knowledge of document control processes
