Silvus Technologies is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to develop innovative packaging designs for advanced MANET radios. The role involves collaborating with hardware engineering teams and ensuring product reliability and quality through hands-on troubleshooting and thorough testing.
What you'll do
- Create CAD drawings and Bills of Materials for new product designs.
- Conduct product failure root cause analysis and implement design improvements.
- Support production assembly and quality assurance with technical guidance.
- Perform hands-on troubleshooting of electromechanical assemblies.
- Execute First Article Acceptance Test Plans and Design Verification Tests.
- Design thermal management systems for optimal product performance.
What they're looking for
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 2+ years in electromechanical and packaging design.
- Strong understanding of Mechanical Engineering fundamentals.
- Experience with DoD MIL-STD requirements.
- Proficient in SolidWorks or equivalent CAD tools.
- Knowledge of electrical engineering principles.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
